Dear Colleagues,

Believe it:  Paul testified before Pilate, …I admit that I worship the God of our fathers as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that agrees with the Law and that is written in the Prophets (Act. 243:14b).

Memorize itWhen tempted by the Enemy, Jesus recalled from memory key passages from Deuteronomy and neutralized his power over him.  If Jesus mastered the Scriptures, what does that suggest to us?  (See Matt. 4:1-11)

Meditate on itDo not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful (Josh. 1:8). Observe the progression in Joshua 1:8: Speak the word = mediate on the word =obey the word = prosperity and success.

Study it Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth (2 Tim. 2:15 Amp.).

Obey it: "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (Joh. 8:31b, 32). (See Jms. 1:22 25)

Defend it: Paul was appointed for the defense of the Gospel (Phil. 1:16). (See Jude 1:3)

Teach itGo and make disciples of all nations teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matt. 28:19a, 20a).  (See 2 Tim 4:2; Tit. 1:3)

CHALLENGE:  We are living in days of casual Christianity:  Just slop along at a superficial, experience centered level.  By way of contrast, Paul instructed Timothy to train yourself to be godly (1 Tim. 4:7). If you aspire to become a man or woman of God, you must take the study and the application of the Scriptures seriously. Excellence and discipline are required in medicine, education, professional sports, etc.  Your walk with God demands nothing less.

This week may you experience His grace, peace and protection.
