Good Morning!

  • Not easy to apply while competing in a fast-paced, profit-driven business environment:
  • If implemented, can easily be interpreted by competitors as a sign of  weakness:  A sure-fire formula for disaster!

Except for the fact that God’s word calls us to a life of HUMILITY:

“…Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”  (I Pet. 5:5)

How do I know if my life is laced with PRIDE or graced with HUMILITY:

  • Dogmatic.
  • Egotistical  (masking a sense of insecurity).
  • Unable to respond graciously to criticism.

  • Are so sure of themselves that they feel no need to draw attention to themselves or their status.
  • Revel in the accomplishments and potential of others.
  • Have a capacity for self-criticism.
  • Allow, enable, and empower others to shine.

Moses, considered by many to be the greatest leader of all time,

“…was very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.” (Numb.12:3)

As Christ’s followers we choose to embrace Moses’ example rather than emulate prevailing market-driven values.  Right?

My prayer is that you are having a great week!

Good Morning!

  • Rushed?
  • Shallow?
  • Dutiful?

Or do you have  it under control with:

  • Quality time
  • Regular time…      At the level where the tap roots of your soul are being fed?

M. Bounds cautions us that “TO BE LITTLE WITH GOD IS TO BE LITTLE FOR GOD.”

Keep in mind:  Satan’s strategy is to dull your spiritual hunger by playing upon your inclination towards:

–  Procrastination

–  Materialism

– Sensuality

–  Over work

“Take care…lest any one of you be hardened  by the deceitfulness of sin.” (Heb. 3:12, 13).

Let’s be honest enough  to admit that basically we do exactly what we want to do, finding time for:

*  Golf

*  T. V.

*  Favored friends

And let’s be reminded that a casual approach to knowing God simply won’t cut it:

“…You shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jer. 29:13)

Passion  and pursuit are the criterion for knowing God.  Are you man or woman enough to rise to and sustain the challenge?

My prayer is that you are having a great week!

TIMING: A critical factor in business.

Good Morning!

Success often depends upon sensing the moment and moving with the market. Failure to provide the right product or service at the right TIME can spell disaster.

God also has a perfect TIMEtable.  And we can easily miss it by:

Rushing ahead of HimOften out of impatience, presumption or impetuousness.

“…He who makes haste with his feet errs.”  (Prov. 19:2b)

 Or by:

Lagging behind Him  – Often out of fear of failure or perfectionist tendencies.

Because God has a perfect TIMEtable, “He has made everything beautiful in its TIME.” (Ecc. 3:11)

For example: Upon learning of Lazarus’ illness, Jesus delayed traveling to visit him by two days to await his death.  Upon His arrival, Christ found Lazarus entombed and proceeded to raise him to life.  (Jn. 11:1 – 42)

God’s perfect TIMING!

QUESTIONDo you have challenging decisions on your hands?  Then follow the Psalmist’s counsel on tapping into God’s TIMING:

(1) Rest in the Lord… (2) Wait patiently for Him… (3) Keep to His way…” He then promises to “…exalt you to inherit the land“!  (Psa. 37:5, 7, 34, 37)

May I suggest two additional considerations in determining God’s TIMING:

#1  Inner Peace:  “And let the peace of Christ rule in your heart…”  (Col. 3:15a)  If you lack inner peace, the TIMING to act is not now.

#2  Your wife’s consensus:  God has endowed our spouses with a ton of common sense, and an intuitive capability that far surpasses that of  most men.  A man therefore, is a fool if he chooses to ignore his wife’s advice as it relates to TIMING.

Because TIMING  is so essential for success, God invites us to walk with Him in the  living out of our lives.  After all, “He has made everything beautiful in its TIME.”

My prayer is that you are having a great week!
